XWS-30

COMPACT BROADBAND PLASMA LIGHT SOURCE

ISTEQ’s XWS-30 light source product has been specially developed for those customers who need a super compact broadband light source with low heat dissipation while keeping the plasma brightness high (can be free space or fiber delivery).

  • A unique concept of a compact "all in one" source
  • Very compact 149 x 166 x 145 mm, no external chiller
  • Spectal brightness up to 48 mW / (mm².sr.nm)
  • Spectral range 190 - 2500 nm
  • Output configuration - Free space or FCU
  • Full system control by laptop / PC Via USB-RS 485 adapter

XWS-30 - Compact laser plasma broadband light source

In XWS sources, plasma emits light due to the interaction between a continuous energy input from a laser and the gas medium used (optical discharge).
These light sources have been developed as a replacement for traditional gas discharge lamps (Xenon, Deuterium, Tungsten, etc.) and LEDs.
Compared to these, XWS sources have a wider spectral range and higher spectral brightness.

Output configuration: Free space or FCU
Available with Air Cooled Optical Head
External source control and parameters monitoring by Laptop/PC via:
RJ45 (Ethernet, Web interface),
COM-port (RS-232)

APPLICATIONS XWS-30

  • Absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy
  • Microscopy, including confocal and fluorescence
  • Diagnostics systems in microelectronics
    (contamination and defect control)
  • Thin-film and critical dimension (CD) metrology
  • Detectors in chromatography, microfluidics, lab-on-a-chip,
    droplet spectrometers, cytofluorimeters, etc.
  • Biomedical applications (photodynamic therapy, etc.)
  • Additive technologies (photopolymerisation)
  • Artificial sunlight systems (test systems, illumination, etc.)
